This Oris Mare Nostrum Big Crown is a classically styled timepiece that is one of only 200 pieces produced. As a limited-edition watch, it can prove difficult to obtain. Right off the bat, its unique bronze metal case catches the eye. Measuring 40 mm in diameter, it rests upon a black leather strap with a tang bronze buckle. The coiled bezel and oversized screw-down winding crown both deliver a satisfying tactile experience.

Other case features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a 50 m / 5 atm water resistance, and an exhibition case back that allows you to see the movement in action. Speaking of the movement, this self-winding automatic watch is driven by Oris 754, which is based upon Sellita SW200-1, and beats at 28,800 vph, has 26 jewels, and delivers a 38-hour power reserve.

The dashing blue dial showcases clearly rendered, easy-to-read Arabic numerals as well as luminous stylized hands and markers. A fascinating date ring found around the outer edge of the dial can be read via the red-tipped arm.
